Today's Featured Biography
Patricia Bassett Duke-Langston
After graduation, I left to go to school at Tampa General Hospital School of Histology. I graduated from there one year later as a Registered Histology Technician after passing Hospital, State, and National Board exams. A job offer came in from Lee Memorial Hospital as well as Tampa General Hospital. I decided to take the Tampa General offer.
I lived in Tampa (Hillsborough County) until 2007 when I moved several miles north, just across the County Line into a small community in Pasco County called Land O' Lakes. I moved back to Hillsborough County in October 2014.
In 1973, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Education. I earned a Master's degree in Library Science as well. I was an educator in the Hillsborough County, Florida public school system for 36 years, retiring at the end of February 2010.
In 1994, I was licensed and ordained as a non-denominational preacher in a church located in Brandon, FL. I earned my Master of Divinity degree in 1996 and my Doctorate of Religious Philosophy in February of 2003. My ministry travels include trips to Israel, as well as ministering (preaching/teaching) in churches throughout the United States, as well as in my home state of Florida.
With my husband, I am currently co-Pastor of HighPlaces International Worship Center In Brandon, FL. I am also Vice President and Assistant Director of Operations of Tabernacle Bible College and Seminary Christian University. My husband, Archbishop General, Dr. Lawrnce Langston is Chancellor.
I am also a Certified Prayer Seminar Leader trained by Intercessors International (now Increase International) and a licensed Professional Master Life Coach. I am a member in good standing of The Order of St. Luke the Physician and The Society of Apostolic Church ministries. I have served on various ministry boards in the State of Florida. I have the privilege of mentoring Pastors in many foreign countries.
Some of my other certifications are as follows:
Certification in Jewish Context and Culture; Certification in Hebrew Bible; and Certification in Jewish New Testament.
I am the Overseer of His Heart Ministries International, a non-profit, prophetic traveling, non-denominational ministry. I preach/teach in churches of any Christian denomination where I am invited. The ministry home of His Heart Ministries International and its outreaches are located in Tampa, Florida. I am known in ministry circles as Rev. Dr. Patricia Langston, Dr. Langston, or just Dr. Patricia.
When we were in high school, who would have ever thought!
