Today's Featured Biography
Susan Hausman Bailey
I may have been raised in Ft. Myers but moved to California to spend time with my Dad who lived in Bakersfield in 1978 and lived there until I retired in January 2017.
Now it has been more than half my life, but I still miss Ft. Myers in some ways. California is a lot like Florida except drier and we do have 4 seasons, at least in the mountains surrounding us, so I guess it is really different. I miss the beaches in Ft. Myers and that is where I go when I go home.
I met and married the love of my life (Thomas) and best friend in Bakersfield. We have a beautiful daughter (Heather) and son-in-law (Nate)and our pride and joy 6 year old grandson (Riley). One drawback to that is they moved to So. Georgia four years ago so we do make a lot of trips back there.
Tom and I try to travel as much as we can but work still seems to get in the way, hopefully soon that will change. We love the mountains and the beach (not to swim)in California but we really love traveling to Oregon, it's spectacular. Don't get me wrong, I love my job working at Driltek (Petroleum Engineers), I have been there for almost eleven years. I couldn't ask for any better people to work with! I am still working a lot of hours, 50-60 a week, and hoping to slow down soon.
The older I get, it seems the better life is! Or maybe, I just take more time to enjoy the things we do.
In February 2017 Tom and I left California after selling our home, downsizing and moving into our 35’ 5th wheel rv. We traveled the United States for a little over 3 years. We bought a home in Tomball, TX to be close to our daughter and grandson.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
