Allison Downey
Allison M. Downey, APR is the Marketing Communications Manager for Patient Education & Practice Marketing at Exactech, a surgeon-founded orthopedic implant manufacturer headquartered in Gainesville, Fla. Allison�s role primarily focuses on the development of communications programs to support the marketing and branding strategies of surgeons as well as working to educate the patients they serve.
Prior to Exactech, Allison served as the Corporate Communications Specialist at RTI Surgical, a global surgical implant company based out of Alachua, Fla. Her focus was primarily on investor, media, community and general corporate communications.
Allison has a Master�s degree from the University of Florida in Mass Communications, specializing in health and science, as well as a Bachelor�s degree in Public Relations from UF.
Today, Allison is highly involved in the Gainesville Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA), serving as Vice President of Member Services during the 2015-2016 term and additionally serving on several committees with fellow public relations practitioners in the community. In 2013, she was honored as the FPRA Gainesville Chapter�s Rising Star and was nominated to the FPRA state association�s Rising Leader Class.
Allison lives in Alachua, Fla. and holds her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR).
