Today's Featured Biography
Amanda Bourque Widener
After graduating from FMHS I attended Florida State University. I was involved in the dance department, the Marching Chiefs, the FSU Board of Advisors, and Sigma Alpha Iota. I graduated in December 2006 with a double major in Political Science and International Affairs.
I worked for ChaseHealthAdvance as a Dental Practice Management Consultant and was lucky enough to travel the country while promoting the business at trade shows. I eventually left that job to work as a Personal Banker for Wells Fargo, and then moved on to become the District Fundraising Coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
After my older brother passed away in 2009, I decided to start fresh and moved to Charleston, South Carolina. I worked for Verizon Wireless and met my husband. We have two beautiful children: our daughter, Charlee, and our son, Beck.
In 2017 I began taking WERQ Dance Fitness classes at my local YMCA. I fell in love with dancing again and became a certified instructor. After a while I continued to grow in my fitness journey and became a certified AFAA GFI, certified POMSQUAD Fitness instructor, and certified in Kettlebell AMPD, AMPD Resistance, AMPD Power Flow, AMPD Strength, AMPD Burn, and AMPD Build. I have been the South Carolina Rep for WERQ Dance Fitness since 2019 and have been featured in several marketing campaigns. In June 2020 I became the East Coast Community Manager for WERQ Dance Fitness. I have also been a Master Trainer and choreographer for AMPD Strong since June 2020.
