My, how life can change so much in such a relatively short time. Being retired has not been the dream I had envisioned, but it has brought about new adventures and challenges. My granddaughter, Venita, is the center of my life, and I can't imagine a better retirement, for me. I may have 1,2,3 or more little girls here, and it is such a joy. I had dreamed of becoming a home ec teacher when I attended O.C.,but changed that to "love and marriage and the baby carriage". My high school steady, Butch, came home on leave from the Air Force, and we were married in 1966. We have two sons, Scooter and Mykey, who are both musicians like their dad. They play locally, and have toured here in the States as well as Europe. We are really happy for their opportunities. Butch retired to our lake cabin, where he enjoyed his hobbies with the quiet sounds of frogs croaking and guitars playing. Although I was never a certified teacher, I was a den mother, Cub master, "after school" teacher, and ended my working life as a lunch lady at Mt View (our old George Dewey Jr High!).
I lost my husband, Butch, in December of 2015, and I am still trying to find my way. We almost made it to our 50th anniversary....but then, we did "go steady" off and on through high school so I think we made it. I hold on to the precious memories now and pray for those who experience this loss, too, that they will have comfort and support from family and friends....friends like our wonderful classmates from EHS Class of 1964!
Little Venita has made life complete
with smiles and laughter and running feet.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
