Well here I am, or there I was, at the EHS class of 1964 50th reunion with my wife, helpmate, stability, and better half for 34 years, Susan. My children are mostly in Texas, Houston and Austin, where my sons Bryan (1983) and Josh (1985) live with their families and my daughter Erika (1970) also lives with her not too friendly dog. Our son Greg (1975) lives upstairs. I have four grandchildren and three step grandchildren, all in Texas.
After high school I graduated from Washington State University in Psychology, went to Air Force flight school and flew 200 combat missions in the F-4 and survived with minor problems. I had active tours in Germany and Nevada before I turned in the active suit for the reserve one. The reserves moved me around spending time in Oklahoma City, Phoenix, Kansas City, and back to Phoenix. I overspent my time and just when I was learning what I was supposed to do, they kicked me out at 30 years.
Along the way I garnered two Master's Degrees, a great deal of training, a major car wreck which grounded me, a new career (Military Intelligence), yeah I know, lots of experience, and wrote a book, science fiction, which only took me near 8 years to get published which happened in November 2012. I have been a "government contractor," some would add the adverb slimy to that, but not me, for about 14 years before I just quit, and am now really retired.
Our current activities generally revolve around the circle of friends we have at church. I teach a "mature" group of adults. We have a great time and actually learn things now and then. We have been involved in raising our oldest granddaughter for the past two and a half years while her parents got things settled.
So there it is, 50 years of a life which at times seemed 250 years and at other times seemed to be 30 - 40 minutes. There have been few regrets and a lot of happiness.
Several people at the reunion expressed interest in the book that I have written & published,"The Unusual Travels of Lee and Tammy". It is an adventure story about the exploration of a new world that starts on the moon, so it is also Science Fiction. The book can be found on amazon or Barnes & Noble website under the title or my name, "W. H. Strom".

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
