Today's Featured Biography
Steven McGee
To all of us who can now order off of the senior side of the menu- a hearty hooray!?
After our HS graduation and going to school in AZ, I went to work for several of the navy contracting crooks in and around the Bremerton area before wising up and heading off to Boeing, Sunnyvale, and finally the silicon forests of Portland, OR. I met my wife, Laurie, while living and working in Portland and we married in 1987 and will be celebrating our 30th anniversary next year
In 1998, Texas Instruments moved my family and I from Washington to Texas and we've been here ever since- Texas has been great to us and for us.
I'm still with Texas Instruments, while my wife has retired and is happily back at home.
My son is in home health care and today, is out chasing storms in Kansas and Missouri with area storm chasers and he also deeply involved in city council matters; while my daughter has earned her associates in IT sciences and is close to earning her degree in cyber security.
My daughter lives in Allen, 10 minutes south of McKinney, TX, but will be moving home in February, so she and her Boyfriend can save some money to get married. My wife and I still enjoy beautiful McKinney and all of the Texas sunshine, but it's getting pretty hard to take care of this big 5 bedroom house of ours with just my wife and I rattling around in it, but it's almost paid off.
I've retired from my design service bureau.
