Today's Featured Biography
Marcelyn Payne Sinclair
Born to Rumsy E. and Fonda E. Payne in Marshall Ok. where my father owned the newspaper. When the depression took away the business we moved to Denver in 1931, lived in my grandparents basement until my father was hired as a night compositer at Gates Rubber Co. He retired there 38 years later as Superintendent of printing and advertising. My mother suffered from MS all of my "growing up years". I attended Asbury, Grant Jr. High...and then South Hi. My mothers illness made it necessary for us to sell our south Denver home and move to east Denver. I chose to commute from there to South to be with my friends, many of whom I knew in grade and Jr. Hi.
I attended Oklahoma A & M college in Stillwater until my marriage to Jack H. Russell in 1948. We moved, with our three children, to Phoenix Az. in 1956. The marriage ended in divorce,.....I pursued my first career in radio/TV broadcasting. I returned to Denver for 18 months and worked at KGMC as on air "Ginny Mac Lee", following in the footsteps of Mary Knott. I returned to Phoenix and met and married Donald Sinclair in August 1962. We moved to Los Angeles in 1964 and I began my second career in sales/marketing where I remained for the next 23 years. We moved to Amador County Ca. in 1987 and by coincidence lived only 15 minutes away from Bob and Nancy Powell (who still live in Pioneer Ca.
When my husband collapsed and went through two very serious aortal surgeries in 1990 we sold our properties and moved to Port Angeles Wa. where I remained until 1999....following my husbands death in July 1996 from Grade 4 bladder cancer.
I returned to California to be near my two daughters and have been here until now....living in a very lovely retirement community called Oceana.
I have not been back to Denver since our 50th reunion.....but certainly (good Lord willing) plan to be there for the 60th, and renew friendships.......
AND...there you have the "Perils of Marcey". I am in good health and work part time as the front desk/receptionist at an upscale retirement facility near me.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
