I am still here in God's Country (Wyoming). To update my last post, my hubby, Richard Kaysen DID become the Mayor of Cheyenne and is serving his second term. My life has changed drastically. Marriage to a politician is not easy!! (those darn reporters!), but we have had the privileged to serve the Cheyenne and Wyoming communities for the past five years. We hope you will all join us in July for CFD, The Daddy of em all, which is our celebration of the western culture that we all so value. It's fun to check out the website to see that many of you are still alive and kickin'
Past update:
Sad to say I traded my penney loafers and plaid skirts for jeans and cowboy boots when I moved to Wyoming 14 years ago.
After obtaining two useless degrees from the University of Denver (an undergrad in Business Administration and a Masters in Applied Communication), I decided that a third degree in Art couldn't hurt anything but the balance of my mounting student loans. I also discovered that the more education you have, the more you will resist doing any "real" work, the kind that pays actual money!
I have been working as a professional artist in Cheyenne, Wyoming (nope, I haven't mastered painting horses yet--my work is too abstract to identify much of anything). However, I have had a wonderful (and windy) relationship with Wyoming and have thoroughly enjoyed my life here.
Highlights of my life as a mother have been supporting my daughter who is currently in law school at the University of Wyoming, and enjoying three grandchildren (can I possibly be old enough to have grandchildren?) I also inherited two terrific stepkids along the way.
My husband (of 17 years),Rick, and I have enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S., especially our repeated trips to Hawaii and New Mexico. Rick recently retired and is driving me Crazy so I intend to submit his name to become the next Mayor of Cheyenne. That should keep him busy! It would be helpful to me if the entire class of 1967 could establish residency in Wyoming so that you can vote for him and get him out of my hair.
I think of all my friends from Cory, Merrill, and South High School with great fondness, and hope to see you all soon! As we say in Wyoming: "Git 'er done!"

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
