I am a 1971 CU Boulder grad with a mechanical engineering degree. Played basketball for CU freshman year with Kirk Huggins and a couple other Denver Prep League players. I worked in Australia and Hong Kong for the first few years out of college in the marine/engine business for Outboard Marine International. After returning to Denver I was employed with Xcel Energy (PSCo) for seven (7) years and then the Solar Energy Resesarch Institute (now NREL) for two (2) years. Starting in 1982 I worked at and became a PE principal in the firm of Swanson Rink, Inc., an engineering firm in Denver that I was with for (29) years. I retired in 2011. My wife, Nancy, is a retired Jeffco elementary school teacher and CU grad. We have two sons who graduated from Northern Arizona University and CU respectively. They both work and live in the Denver area, which is great for Nancy and me. We have two grandkids. Love the outdoors...enjoy alpine skiing, road bicycling, mountain hiking, and travel. Nancy and I marvel at how fast time has gone by.....married 48 years. I look forward to hearing about and seeing former classmates - particularly those who started with me at Cory Elementary and Merrill and finished at South High.
