Today's Featured Biography
Michael Thoming
I served an LDS mission in Toronto from 1997-1998, then attended college until I got a job with my current employer. I've worked my way up from a software support technician to become the Director of Technical support. I also travel from time to time as an installation and project manager. These projects have taken me all over the U.S. and overseas to places like Izmir Turkey, Yokosuka Japan and northern Alaska (in mid February!) and Germany. My company relocated to Las Vegas in 2004 and although it's been a major adjustment, we loved it (except for the lack of snow).
In 2012 I took a new position with Nelnet in Lincoln Nebraska. The adjustment took some time, but this is a much better place to raise our family than Vegas. My three girls are my pride and joy. Our son was a little late arriving, but he is a ton of fun, and their mother lights up my life. I've gone back to scool recently, which doesn't leave much time for golf or other hobbies. But I finally have the right opportunity to get my degree, so it's worth the effort. I still love reading and playing with my kids.
I've learned how little I knew in high school, and that a person is never as foolish as when they think they are wise.
