Today's Featured Biography
Jonathan Denslow
Leaving South High in the middle of my senior year was traumatic at the time. I arrived at Sandia High in the school’s second full year of classes and was in a graduating class of 250 but at graduation, I was handed two diplomas, one from Sandia and one from South. I enrolled at the University of New Mexico, was able to join the Concert Choir as a freshman, thanks to Mr. Wells from South. I meet my wife Gayle in the choir and married her in 1963. Joined the US Navy 2 days ahead of the draft and spent 5 ½ years in the Navy as a corpsman, 1½ of those years with the US Marines in SE Asia. I returned home and went back to UNM and graduated with honors with a degree in Pharmacy. In 1974 Gayle and I purchased a neighborhood Pharmacy and for 20 years we had a great time in the neighborhood. We had a US Post office in the rear of the store, and Gayle ran that while I kept the front busy. During that time, I became involved with the New Mexico Pharmacy Association, eventually going thru the officer chairs and had my shot at President in 1988. I still remain active in the association and have been the Treasure for 27 years. To keep myself busy and out of trouble, I joined the New Mexico Shrine and in 1975 started playing in the band, and also found myself in the Albuquerque Concert Band. I have been playing in both groups for 35 years and have been leading the Shrine Band for the last 8 years. Our two children, Kathy and Tom are both married and have families of their own. ( I am still employed at this writing, as the Pharmacy Administrator for the First Choice Clinics in Albuquerque.) I am fully retired now as is my wife. Gayle is the Wedding Coordinator for our church and I handle the sound and lights, and we have a large wedding the weekend of the reunion. I was looking forward to renewing old friendships.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
