My wife, Barbara, and I will celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary this year, just after our eighth grandchild is born. However, none lives close to Philadelphia, so the car and US Airways get good workouts. We have three children, all married. Phil, aka Rev. Phil, is the pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church in Tarentum, PA (near Pittsburgh). Christopher is senior lecturer in biology at Emory University and just returned from Dharamsala where he taught the monks and nuns associated with the Dalai Lama about evolutionary biology. Jenn is a physician in Fairfax, VA specializing in pediatric hematology/oncology.
I continuing to serve as Chair of the Department of Computing Sciences at Villanova University, where I've taught math and computing for the past 43 years.
My research team is working on "socially intelligent computing" this summer, whatever that means.
Barbara works as a pediatric nurse practitioner for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She works for the neurology department and sees kids with epilepsy, headaches, and other ailments of the brain.
We're looking forward to returning to Denver and seeing all our friends.
