After graduating from South, I attended Texas Christian University, the National University in Mexico City and graduated from DU in 1963.
Jon Art and I married in 1964. Jon worked with Procter and Gamble and I taught until our children arrived. Carol (now a PhD candidate at Yale University) Blair (a nuclear scientist at Los Alamos Lab in NM) and Cameron (a VP with IBM) were raised in Douglas County (south of Denver). When our youngest was 12, I went into real estate, selling new homes. I continued in the Denver Metro area selling for Environmental Developers Inc., Larsen Homes, Falcon Homes, The Genesee Company and finally Village Homes.
When Jon sold Food Brokers Inc. and retired, we headed south to Florida. We live in a golf course community so have sharpened up our game. I worked full time during the boom for Neal Communities selling new homes. With the "bust" I have enjoyed retirement.
We have ten delightful grandchildren from 19 years to seven months.
Our hobbies include travel, golf and raising orchids. We are glad we found each other.
