50 Year Reunion Announcement!

Our Memories of South
Our 50th reunion is now history! We hope you enjoyed it. Below are 5 links helping us remember our celebration:
- Photos from our Friday reunion event in the South cafeteria. This is a Flickr photo album with 270 photos.
- Photos from our Saturday reunion event at the DU Knoebel Event Center. This is a Flickr photo album with 169 photos.
- The memories you shared at the Saturday night dinner: South '67 Memories
- The slide show, developed by Kendra Younce O'Hayre, summarizing our South experiences.
- A second slide show, by Kendra, In Memoriam, listing classmates who are no longer with us.
The Memories file and the two slide files are PDFs in DropBox folders. You don't have to sign in or register for DropBox. Just enjoy!
Both of the slideshows included '60s music and you will see the music credits at the end of the South experiences slide show. Unfortunately, converting these slide shows to a PDF removes the music.
When you open either of the Flickr files, you can scroll down to see all the photos in the album. Alternatively, you can click on one of the photos and then you will see one photo per screen with arrows on the left and right sides of the screen so you can advance forward with the right pointing arrow or back up with the left pointing arrow. When you have just one photo on the screen scroll down to see the descriptions I (Jackie) added to a few of the photos.
You can download individual photos by (1) Clicking on the photo you want to download so it is the only photo on your screen. (2) Click on the download arrow in the lower right area of the photo.
(3) A popup will show different sizes of photos. Select the size you want, the smaller the better.
(4) You will then see a long horizontal bar at the bottom of your screen. The goal here is to select a location for where to save the photo. Select the down facing arrow to the right of the word Save. Select Save As.
Another popup will appear to give you a choice about the location to which you want to save the photo. Select that location. Your Desktop will probably be shown as one of the choices and is a good location because it is easy to find.
Finally, Bayard DuBois, our Concert Choir president, offered to provide a thumb drive with all 17 songs from our album. That includes “Sing Ye!” and “Salvation.” $10. For more info

Today's Featured Biography
Larry Taylor
After high school I tried college and really did not know what I wanted to do and at that time the draft board was breathing down my neck. So, I dropped out after two quarters and signed up for the Navy. During my time in the Navy I was in a air squadron who deployed out of LeMoore California. I spend a lot of time off the coast of Vietnam aboard the USS Oriskany as an electronic tech for the weapons release systems on the A7 Corsair. Came out of the Navy went to electronics trade school, which was not challenging enough so, I went back to college. I graduated from University of Colorado in 1979 with my BS in Accounting. I worked in accounting for Storage Technology, Coors Brewing Company, and Graphics Packaging. I obtained my MBA from University of Denver in 1991.
I met the love of my life, Connie, in 1972 and I've been married since 1974. I have two boys. One (born 1985) working in Boulder with his degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering and the other born in 1993 is currently enrolled at Metro State.
I'm currently working as the controller for a dessert manufacturer in Denver. We make the desserts you see in most of the major restaurants in the US.
I love working and will continue until my mind starts to go and I can no longer contribute. Physically, things are great.
It would be great to connect with some of the people from 1967 South High. What a great time it was !!!
