Today's Featured Biography
Melissa Shaffer Kochen
Hello, class of 1987! I miss all of you and wish I could come home for our reunion but I can't take the time off work to come home. I am living in Pueblo, Colorado. I've been living here for almost 4 years now. This is my husband's home town. In 2000, Darren and I got married and moved to California where he was stationed in the Marine Corp. This was his last duty station ending his 20 year Marine Corp career. While in CA, I worked as a nurse at a clinic, then at a nursing home, and then in private practice for a wonderful family physician. Once Darren retired, we packed up and moved to his home town, Pueblo. I was hired before our move by Maxim Home Health Care, a nationwide home health care agency. I started working for them two days after we got to Pueblo and I continue to work for them. I love home health care and I love my clients. I do a lot of driving each day....about 70 miles. Darren has two kids, Craig (19) and Julia (15) and I have two, Jayde(16) and Drew(12). Jayde is planning on a career in the Air Force after she graduates high school. Drew is involved in baseball and football and will be in the 7th grade. I'm very proud of my kids. I'd love to hear from my classmates...just drop me a line and I'll respond back.
