Jennifer Paretti Blackmore
hi everyone,
for anyone who was not at our 20 year reunion, it was a wonderful evening! I had such a good time talking to as many people as I could.
After graduating from CASHS, I went to Penn State Mont Alto for a year and then to the main campus. I received a BS in Math in 1991, and then spent a year doing computer programming. I didn't like that and decided to take an actuarial exam. I passed it, and got a job at an auditing firm (Coopers & Lybrand, which is now PricewaterhouseCoopers). When my son came along, I decided I could no longer do the rat race and decided to stay home. We decided to move back to PA (from NJ). I asked my company if I could continue to work on a part time basis, from home. They said yes, which was such a good thing for me! I'm still doing the telecommuting thing. I really love my job, and get to live in a small town (which, I grudgingly admit is great for raising a family, not so good for shopping), and still have an exciting job. I get to travel, and often go to NY for client meetings, etc.
We have two children, Daniel and Olivia, and every day, I think how lucky I am to have them. My daughter is just like her mother, which I'm sure many of my former classmates know, is trying at times! My son is the laid back one, like his dad.
I wish we could have gone to the picnic on Sunday after the reunion. I'm sure it was fun. It was so neat to see everyone.
