Norman SEITZ Jr
Norman E. Seitz, Jr., 67, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at home. He was the husband of Kay Ann (Strayer) Seitz for 48 years. Born July 11, 1938, in Dallastown, he was the son of the late Norman E. and Edna M. (Howard) Seitz.
Norman was a truck driver and mechanic with Yorktowne Kitchens for 46 years and served as union steward for 26 years.
He was a 50 year member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Dallastown, and was the co-founder of the Dallastown Cougar Football Association. Norman enjoyed spending time with his family, and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and camper.
In addition to his wife, Norman is survived by four sons, Bradley Seitz of York, Bryan Seitz of Felton, Brent Seitz and wife, Betty Lou of Landisville, and Brooks Seitz and wife, Justine of York; a brother, Larry Seitz of Dallastown; a sister, Sylvia Snyder of Yoe; four half brothers, Charles, William R., Philip, and Jesse Englar, all of York; a half sister, Marie Parker of York; and five grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his half brother, Calvin Englar.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 109 E. Main St., Dallastown, with the Rev. Roger H. Mentzer officiating. There will be viewings from 7 until 9 p.m. on Friday at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
Interment will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York Twp. Serving as pallbearers will be Bradley Seitz, Bryan Seitz, Brent Seitz, Brooks Seitz, Zachary Seitz, Tyler Seitz, and Dalen Grove.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethlehem United Methodist Softball Team, in care of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 109 E. Main St., Dallastown, PA 17313; or to the Red Lion VNA, in care of the VNA of York County, 218 E. Market St., York, PA 17403.
