Today's Featured Biography
Bonna Zuch Cafiso
Following graduation, I studied French education at Millersville (State College) University and spent my junior year studying in Montpelier, France. After graduation from Millersville, I served as York’s exchange teacher to Arles, France, where I met my husband! We both came back to the states and settled in the Sunbury area because I had found a teaching job in the Shikellamy School District where I would teach for 36 years and serve as Supervisor of World Languages for 26 of those years. I have also been teaching the methods course for foreign language education majors at Susquehanna University since 1980, and since retiring from Shikellamy in 2005, I have been supervising student teachers for Susquehanna, a job that I love! We are enjoying our retirement and have made many trips to France.
We have one daughter, Danielle, who teaches kindergarten at her former elementary school. Her husband, Jim, teaches 4th grade in Muncy. They have two wonderful children, Ryan (2006) and Alyssa (2009) who keep us wonderfully busy babysitting and attending many of their sports, ballet, and other activities.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the 50th reunion!
