Kathleen Urey Urey-Strickler

I have worked at Borg Warner which is now called Johnson Controls for 28 years. January 7, 2009 I will be there 29 years. I am in Contract Processing. I enter orders for all of the NE Region, part of the East Central and West Regions also.

I am married for the 3rd time and the last time, since July of 2003. I have no children but my husband had a son from a previous marriage.

I started out after graduation at McCrory's Distribution as a keypuncher. Worked there a few years, then went to AMF, which is now called Harley Davidson, for 6 months. Got laid off and went back to McCrory's as a guard. Boring!!!! They didn't like me there either, so they put me back into keypunch. I then left and went to Fincor in January 1979 and worked a year until I got my job at Borg Warner which I started in January 7, 1980.

I also worked odd jobs with the Temp Agencies and also worked for H&R Block for 10 years.

I have a cottage in Landisville, close to Mount Joy. It is our get away. No phones, no computers, just squirrels, groundhogs and rabbits. It is in a wooded area with about 50 some cottages in a Christian Campground. It is so relaxing. They have Christian groups that come to sing and on Labor Day, the deedholders will have a corn roast. The water is turned on the 1st day of April and then turned off the 1st day of November.

I love to read when I get time and sit on my deck in the summer.

I guess that is about it for now.
