Today's Featured Biography
Nancy Thompson Godfrey
After Graduation I worked the summer in a sewing factory - Yuck! Then I worked for about six years at Borg Warner, now called York International. I decided to return to Business School and was studying Medical Secretary when I met Stan. Dating made studying medical terms difficult, so I dropped the medical and graduated with an Associate degree in Secretarial. I worked a short time at the Bon Ton. Then I worked for Smith Village in Jacobus. I was more or less the Billing Dept. Stan and I were married October 12, 1975. I worked at Smith Village until our first child was born. Stan was a butcher (family business - Grodfrey Brother's Meats) and a farmer. I stayed home with the children until we moved to Stan's grandfather's farm which is located across the road from the butcher shop. I started working for the butcher shop by going to market on Fridays. Eventually, I didn't go to market, but stayed at the shop. Interesting but hard work. Stan was eventually, called into the ministry. After taking classes for ministry for three years, he was able to become ordained after being called to a church. He was called to the New Paris Church of the Brethren. We moved to New Paris in August of 1998. At that time, our oldest son, Joe was in college at Elizabethtown. Our next son, Ben was a senior at Dallastown. We moved here with just the two youngest sons who were in ninth and tenth grades. They started at their new high school immediately with the football program. Eventually, Joe and Ben moved here, too. Ben went to Goshen college and Joe finished up his college at Goshen, too. Joe is a high school band director in Fort Wayne, IN and was just married on June 24. Ben is an ordained minister and is moving back to PA to study ministry at the Lancaster Bible College this fall. Dan, after going to tech school is working as a service man for a heating and cooling business. Sam is still in college studying Elementary Education and hoping to become an Athletic Director in a school system somewhere. So far, Joe is the first to get married. Ben has a girlfriend in PA and that relationship looks promising. Dan & Sam are still looking, but there are some possiblilities. So, we are on behind with many of you classmates as far as ages of our children and when we might have any grandchildren. We do have one grand-dog, but may lose her because she won't stop barking when her owners are away. Never thought I would have such a thing as that. It will be great to read what everyone else has been doing and is doing these days.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
